I seem to be having the issue that virt-manager pulls in libguestfs, which in turn pulls in a lot of qemu stuff i do not need.

This is a “thin client” notebook setup that i use to connect to my hypervisor (virt-manager client only + TLS). So although i have virt-manager installed to connect to the hypervisor, i do not want to install most of all the other virtualization stuff.

  2. I installed guestfs-browser from updates-testing in Fedora 15. I can’t get it to run. If I try to run it as a user I get:
    [dowdle@scott ~]$ guestfs-browser
    Fatal error: exception Not_found

If I try to run it as root I get:
    [dowdle@scott ~]$ su –
    Password:
    [root@scott ~]# guestfs-browser
Fatal error: exception Gtk.Error(“GtkMain.init: initialization failed
    ml_gtk_init: initialization failed”)

If I try to sudo it I get:
    [dowdle@scott ~]$ sudo guestfs-browser
    [sudo] password for dowdle:
    Fatal error: exception Not_found

Ok, so what am I doing wrong?
