I am Richard W.M. Jones, a computer programmer. I have strong opinions on how we write software, about Reason and the scientific method. Consequently I am an atheist [To nutcases: Please stop emailing me about this, I'm not interested in your views on it] By day I work for Red Hat on all things to do with virtualization. I am a "citizen of the world".
My motto is "often wrong". I don't mind being wrong (I'm often wrong), and I don't mind changing my mind.
This blog is not affiliated or endorsed by Red Hat and all views are entirely my own.
It is also available in the virt-preview repository
Thanks.
There is broken dependencies in virt-preview repo for libguestfs.
Error: Package: 1:libguestfs-1.9.7-6.fc14.x86_64 (fedora-virt-preview)
Requires: febootstrap-supermin-helper >= 3.3
Yes, this is because we split the febootstrap package so that users of the package (ie. libguestfs users) don’t need to install the whole thing, just the small
febootstrap-supermin-helper
subcomponent.You can try this update from F14:
https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/febootstrap-3.3-1.1.fc14
Or you can install the F15 package from:
http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=214163
Thanks for trying out libguestfs builds.
Thanks.
